Makeovers and Madness
I have been doing so many color matches here lately!! Like, sometimes THREE a day!!!
Now, before you get the wrong idea and think that this sounds very glamorous and like I have the most glamorous job in the world, let me just help you to “not get it twisted”!! 😂😂😂
Picture this……
I have my sweet, eager client sitting on my ottoman in my small living room because the natural lighting is BANGING in here.
I have my WHOLE makeup kit laid out on the couch.😂😂 Just laid out. All over the place.
There are 3 children running around like crazy (2 of them are mine, and I keep a little boy every day too…. yeah, that ain’t glamorous! 🤪) There is a baby (my baby) either on the floor, in a jumper, or in his little walker thing screaming happily, and getting into EVERYTHING!
I have to pause on the makeup for approximately 74 times in order to….
Get a snack
Wipe a bottom
Clean off snot from the floor
Get my shoe out of the baby’s mouth.
Break up an argument.
Get another snack.
Let them outside.
Let them back inside.
Get them a drink.
Wile another butt.
Put in child’s underwear.
Put on child’s shoes.
Get the kids their school work pages.
And all of this, while trying to do a make over. 😂😂
And they usually turn out happy as can be, and look as gorgeous as THIS👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
They always leave happy.
No matter how chaotic it was I just keep my cool, go with the flow, and do my very best!!
The moral of the story is— nothing you ever set out to do will be perfect. You will never have the perfect scenario to do what you want to do.
So, usually, you have 2 choices.
You either just do your best and let it be imperfect and chaotic.
OR
You don’t do it at all.
Because waiting for you perfect scenario is just not going to happen.
So, go “do some makeup” in whatever situation you have to. It will all work out!!
