JoJo’s Homeschool Curriculum

Deciding to Homeschool was no easy thing. Quite the opposite actually. I began feeling a tug on my heart when my first child (JoJo) was very little. And now, 3 children later, I know for sure we will homeschool.

How long will we homeschool?

I always tell people we will homeschool until it jut doesn’t fit our family any longer. I always follow PEACE, and we have peace with homeschooling right now. So, if we lose peace, then we will re-evaluate, pray, and go from there.

As a former educator, it has been so fun looking though homeschool curriculums. I knew what I was looking for for Jo (age 4 almost 5), and when I found The Good and the Beautiful, I knew I had found what I had been looking for.

A lot of seasoned homeschool moms and even research shows that in early childhood, playing, read alouds, and having time and space to play and imagine is all a child needs. BUT, JoJo has loved doing her “schoolwork” with TGATB. So as long as she enjoys it, we will do it!

I have also done some work with Bob Books with her. We went over her letter sounds over and over and then we began doing some letter blends and then small words.

That is when I introduced Bob Books (you can find them on Amazon) to her. And she began reading.

The Good and the Beautiful curriculum is a one stop shop. And is so beautiful! The pictures are so stunning.

We will continue to use it for a while, I am sure.
